The giant river prawn, Macrobrachium rosenbergii (de Man, 1879), is a species of great commercial importance. It farmed under different conditions that translate to range light environments, which impact their behavior and productivity. We present the first study employing both visual modeling beha vioral data evaluate ontogenetic changes in color preferences juveniles adults M. rosenbergii. offered ten shelters colors registered preferences. Our results show shelter preference changed with ontogeny: chose based on chromaticity (preference for blue), while decisions brightness dark grey).
